Children are introduced to various traditional techniques, such as candle making, iron forging, embroidery, wool spinning and printing on antique presses. In addition, they take home everything they make during the workshops. They also become familiar with barnyard animals, and learn to identify and use the edible flowers in our gardens. All of this – plus the singing, folk dances, old-fashioned meals and sports activities of the 19th century. The fabulous La Bassine Water Play Park makes everyone happy on hot summer days.
Jeunes de jadis has participated in the “Viens voir mon camp” (Come see my camp) web series, which promotes quality summer camps recognized by the Association des camps du Québec. Watch the video to discover our camp!
