The Village Québécois d’Antan is already hard at work concocting the 10th edition of the Haunted Village. This year’s ever-changing program will offer an immersive activity that will plunge visitors into the heart of the action. The experimental laboratory will be a vast area invaded by zombies in which the spectator becomes a major actor for a period of 30 minutes. The Haunted Village received 51,569 visitors in 2016, up from 2,111 in its first edition in 2008.

In addition, the famous horror film director George Andrew Romero passed away on July 16. Romero made cult horror films in the 1960s to 1980s about zombies. The Haunted Village will pay tribute to him by dedicating a house inspired by the zombies in his works.

Although its programming is intended for an informed public, the Haunted Village includes a family zone. Other new features will be announced shortly for this completely revamped zone.

The dates for the 2017 Haunted Village are Fridays and Saturdays from September 29 to November 4 and Sunday, October 8. Tickets will go on sale during the first week of September. Remember that buying tickets online is highly recommended, as a few evenings were sold out last year.

The Village Québécois d’Antan operates an animated recreotourism theme park with a history of Quebec by offering a diversified programming over four seasons.
